Exodus features the areas Hypersleep, Weapons Storage, Generator Room, Service Rails, Fusion Coolant, Lifts and EEVs, areas similiar with singleplayer Distress and Sulaco Falls which Winter and O'Neal battle through. Marines awaken from cryo-sleep and must navigate their way to EEVs whilst under Xeno attack.
In Escape the two teams have set missions, for the Marines it is to reach the Evac point and for the Aliens it is to stop them reaching it.
As with other DLC maps like Bug Hunt and Reconnaissance, areas and layouts are different from story lines in the singleplayer campaigns and from the Alien films, like in Exodus which features the Sulaco along side the Sephora after it is damaged from weapons fire in the level Battle for Sulaco and Sulaco Falls.
A multiple level map with vents and air ducting only accessible by Aliens, starting in a Prep Room you enter a hatch which leads to Fusion Coolant, a lift then leads to the Generator Room, from the upper level of the Generator Room a lift takes you to a service rail were you can enter an EEV for your escape.

Cut the door
Reach level 2
Call the elevator
Activate the elevator
Exit the elevator
Find an escape pod
Stop the marines from exiting the Sulaco.
