Predator Dogs are a ferocious predator dogs that appears on the Game Reserve planet and hunting ground in the film Predators and in the game Predators/Predators Lite. Also known as 'Flusher Hounds', some are kept as pets by the Tracker and controlled by way of a whistle.
Predator Dogs have multiple horns on their heads and bodies, these are typically 50-80 cms long, these animals have been bred by Predators for hunting and are used on the Game Reserve. They appear in both the film Predators and the game Predators/Predators Lite, roaming the Game Reserve planet, as prey.

Tracker, Falconer and Berserker bring the humans to the game reserve planet for hunting. They first start tracking the group as they near their encampment with drones, once located they send Predator Dogs, which attack and cause the group to disperse. This was described by Royce as a way of testing the eniemes fire power and strength. This attack leaves Cuchillo dead but they are still tracked until they reach their camp.
In the game Predator Dogs appear in the levels Predator Dogs, Tracker Predator, Whiplash, Wings of Death, Tusk and Talons and Berserker, they will continue attacking a player as long as he is seen.
These creatures are difficult to kill but when shot or cut they die quickly.
Michael Broom and Alex Toader created the creatures with some predator's design. Predator Dogs were created as a Predator's captive creature which had been trained, these creatures took their design influences from Hyenas which had been increased in size and horns added. Earlier designs started with fierce streamline animals with shorter horns before they were both increased in size.
The creatures appeared in the film only in the forested area with background tracking shots filmed in Kolekole Forest Reserve, Hawaii.
The creatures were constructed almost completely by Hybride Technologies VFX in digital form. Firstly background tracking scenes of the forests in Hawaii were shot and together in the studio were added to the digitally rendered creatures, adding skin texture and horns. Scenes were deconstructed and then digitalized in layers, firstly the wire frame of the track of the animals then the trees and grass, then fallen leaves and debris before the creatures were added.
A full size prop was built by KNB for the close-ups and for the tight shots which suited the use of an animatronic animal, all other shots stayed as CGI.
Once the creatures were rendered and added into the screen other additions and post production effects could be added in similiar layers like saliva, blood shots, breath and particle interaction effects.
Prometheus: Fire and Stone
Predator dogs appear on the Game Reserve in the film Predators later they appear in the comic series Prometheus: Fire and Stone. The new group of scientists that return to LV223 find the dead animals on the surface, these animals were thought to be killed by Deacons.
Tracker, Falconer and Berserker bring the humans to the Game Reserve planet from Earth for hunting, after having been parachuted into the Game Reserve they all group together, with Royce taking charge and later meeting up with Noland.
